President: Dr Rasalingam
Dr
Rasalingam is a Family Practitioner and has been practicing for the past
30 years. He is avidly involved with government and charitable trusts to
ensure the wellbeing and health of immigrants in New Zealand. An
immigrant himself from Sri Lanka he is now settled as a NZ Citizen.
Recent appointments
include becoming a committee member of the Lottery National and Lottery
Outdoor Safety Committee and Patron of the Police recruit wing known as
“Wing 222 Dr Rasalingam Recruit Wing” of which 450 graduate in 2005.
His daughter Rosena Rasalingam, litigation lawyer, is married to lawyer
Pramjeet Sammy both working in Manhattan-New York. His son Ravi
Rasalingam is following in his father’s footsteps and is a Cardiologist
at St Louis Hospital- Missouri-USA.

Dr Samson
Tse
Dr Samson
Tse, is the Associate Dean International at the Faculty of Medical and
Health Sciences, The University of Auckland. Samson also holds the
position of Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Development and Director of
the Centre for Asian Health Research and Evaluation (CAHRE) and Centre
for Gambling Studies. Samson Tse has had extensive working experiences
in mental health field and he has published numerous papers in
peer-reviewed journals and presented conference papers on the topic of
recovery approach and mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, problem
gambling and Asian health.
He came from Hong Kong sixteen years ago
settled in Dunedin before moving to Auckland in 2002. He is married and
has one son, enjoys swimming, doing work in the garden, reading

Treasurer: Mr Dinesh Tailor

Dinesh has extensive
experience in many industries including accounting, retailing and
importing. He arrived from India 1976 and has made New Zealand home for
himself and his family. Dinesh is involved in many community projects
and is currently the President of The Auckland Refugee Ethnic Council
and Treasurer of Ethnic Voice NZ. He is also actively involved in the
Indian, Fijian Multicultural Society, the Pan Asian Congress, NZ
Federation of Ethnic Councils Inc., as well as, being a marriage
celebrant. Dinesh is committed to helping all migrants and refugees find
their home in New Zealand.
MR GEORGE ARULANTHAM JP
BSc(Eng) MEng CEng MInstMC(UK) MIEE(UK)
George Arulanantham is interested in social work,
especially the welfare of migrants and refugees in New Zealand. He is the
co-ordinator of Consortium of Tamil Associations in New Zealand (COTANZ) in
Auckland and executive member of the New Zealand Refugee Council. He was
a past president of the
New Zealand Tamil Society and he is involved in
Auckland Regional Ethnic Council, Human Rights Network, Global Peace &
Justice and Auckland Council of Civil Liberty. He is actively involved in
organising seminars, forums and poster exhibition on Sri Lankan peace related
matters and organised youth forums focusing on how the environment of New
Zealand has influenced migrant youths highlighting what New Zealand can offer
for the betterment of their future. He was also involved in organising book
releases March toward peace in Sri Lanka and Voice of the Tamil Youth.
George Arulanantham migrated to New Zealand six
years back. He is currently working as the Chief Engineer at Flotech Limited,
which involved in design manufacturing fuel gas compressor for the energy
sector and biogas purification plant, which produce the environment
friendly fuel (about 99% reduction in carbon dioxide emission) from sewage
and waste for vehicle for the Global Market.

THELMA CRUZ
Thelma currently works full-time as Programmes Officer, for TEAR Fund
NZ, an international non-government organization based in Mt. Roskill,
Auckland. As well as being a valuable board member of Ethnic Voice New
Zealand she also is a Board Member of the Migrant Action Trust, Mt.
Roskill.
Thelma, originally from Manila,
Philippines, arrived in Auckland in June 2004 as a returning permanent
resident. She is a qualified educator and a community development
practitioner.
